Pea Pesto

Pea Pesto Recipe

  • Makes: About ⅓ cup pea pesto
  • Stage: Toddler 12+ months

Sauce Ingredients

  • ¾ cup fresh basil, packed
  • ¼ cup walnuts or pine nuts (optional)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 4oz pack Gerber® Natural for Baby 2nd Foods® Pea Puree
  • ½ medium lemon, juiced (or a tbsp of lemon juice)
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Serve desired amount of sauce with 1 package Gerber® Pick-Ups® Cheese and Spinach Ravioli, for serving


  1. Add the pea puree, basil, garlic, pine nuts or walnuts, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, and salt to a food processor and blend until combined. With the motor running, drizzle the olive oil in until combined.
  2. Prepare the Pasta Pick Ups according to the package instructions.
  3. Toss in an appropriate portion of the pea pesto for your baby’s age and stage and serve.
