Pea Pesto Recipe
- Makes: About ⅓ cup pea pesto
- Stage: Toddler 12+ months
Sauce Ingredients
- ¾ cup fresh basil, packed
- ¼ cup walnuts or pine nuts (optional)
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 4oz pack Gerber® Natural for Baby 2nd Foods® Pea Puree
- ½ medium lemon, juiced (or a tbsp of lemon juice)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Serve desired amount of sauce with 1 package Gerber® Pick-Ups® Cheese and Spinach Ravioli, for serving
Steps
- Add the pea puree, basil, garlic, pine nuts or walnuts, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, and salt to a food processor and blend until combined. With the motor running, drizzle the olive oil in until combined.
- Prepare the Pasta Pick Ups according to the package instructions.
- Toss in an appropriate portion of the pea pesto for your baby’s age and stage and serve.
